- These valves are designed to operate at pressures (PN) up to 6.3 MPa, with nominal conduit diameter (DN) 50 mm - 250 mm with conditional capacity of 1.3 m3 / h - 2889 m3 / h.

- Wafer type (F1), flange mounting (ledge-slot) The frame body is performed of high-tensile sort rolled metal and is designed to work with critical pressures up to 10 MPa and temperatures up to 450 degrees.
- The body frame of all-cast construction intended for operation in standard temperature and pressure range. The use of advanced casting technology allows to obtain product cases with precise linear dimensions, the absence of cavities in casting and excellent uniform density of the material.
- The shutter disk is unified for all series of high-performance gates BIRS KPB. It is designed taking into account work at high speeds of working media and allows to reduce turbulence of working media flow. Shutter disk is manufactured using the most advanced casting technology and ensures reliable and flawless operation of the product during its service life.
- A seat made of PTFE (soft seal) or Inconel (tough seal) of a special shape. It allows to obtain scaling up of the clamping force, depending on flow pressure increase in both directions of the environment motion and under vacuum conditions. To protect the seat from damage due to the impact of critical flow rates while opening or closing moments there are limiters of the sealing element in the valve body frame and pressure flange.
- A shaft (rod) of high-performance gate BIRS KPB is made of high-strength corrosion-resistant steel of one-piece construction (up to DN 80 it is dissected for obtaining better characteristics). Two conical pins, mounted on the valve body side allow to obtain precise coupling with the disk.
- Shaft-sleeves on which the shaft is mounted are installed in the upper and lower bosses of the body frame and serve as the lower and upper axial bearing. Depending on application conditions, simple and reinforced versions are distinguished. Shaft-sleeves are made of special alloy not subject to corrosion, resistant to abrasion and high mechanical stress, and also having high antifriction ability.
- Sealing gland serves for reliabe and even hold-down of O-rings to the turning shaft of the high-performance shutter. Depending on pressure and temperature, different quantities of O-rings are applied consisting of thermal extended graphite of the special design. To adjust the seal element during performance it is enough to adjust the valve flange.
- Each high-performance shutter BIRS * KPB has a site for drive with unified holes of ISO 5211 of two dimension series. This allowsto install fixtures on almost any control device of any manufacturer.
- For the convenience of mounting high-performance BIRS KPB shutter of interflanged design on the pipline centering eye ends are constructed.
- High-performance BIRS KPB shutter * design ensures high maintainability of the product. Replacement of seals and seat is possible in field conditions applying standard tools.
- Valves URPS BIRS KPB meet the requirements of the standard TR TC 012. The product is assigned the category IIGbcT4.
